Trump Says Talks With Iran Possible but Depends on Conditions

US President Donald Trump told Fox News that it's possible he would be willing to talk with Iran but that it depends on the terms, the cable news network said on Tuesday. In an interview with Fox News on Monday evening, Trump said he had heard that Iranian officials were eager to begin discussions. However, he indicated that any dialogue would require acceptable conditions. The US president also criticized Iran’s newly appointed supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, saying he doubted the leader would be able to “live in peace.” Trump further praised the outcome of the recent US military operation in Iran, saying its results had exceeded expectations. He also expressed surprise at Iran’s retaliatory strikes involving missiles and drones targeting Gulf countries that host US military facilities. The comments come amid heightened tensions following recent military exchanges between the United States, Israel and Iran. Source: TRT World USIranTensions DonaldTrump MiddleEast Geopolitics Diplomacy
